Asia
Liv Jorun and Hsar Moo Paw Bolås and their two daugters, are working in Thailand where they are the leaders of the Karen DTS. This is a DTS which is focussed on training and equipping young Karen people to share the gospel. The Karen are an ethnic group who live in Burma and Northern Thailand. In Burma many Karen and other minorities are under oppression from their own government and have had to flee their villages due to Burma army attacks. Many thousands now live as refugees in camps along the Thai/Burma border and it is from this background that many of the young Karen DTS students have come.
Liv Jorun took her DTS at Skjærgårdsheimen in 1997/98 and later went to Thailand to join a team working with young Karen refugees at a high school near one of the refugee camps. She has pretty much been there ever since and was part of starting up the Karen DTS with the help of “Partners”, a relief and development organisation with a big heart for helping those in desperate need.
Hsar Moo Paw is Karen and comes from Karen State in Burma. He took DTS on the first Karen DTS and later went on to become staff there. He originally comes from a Buddhist background and since receiving Jesus has been full of passion and commitment to share Him with others.
Liv Jorun and Hsar Moo Paw were married in 2006 and are busy training new Karen missionaries and doing evangelism amongst the unreached Karen hill tribe villages.
Hsar K’tray Htoo and Maria Ramsli Larsen:

He did his DTS in the base in Thailand and afterwards he joined in the staff there. In 2008 they god married and are now leading the Karen DTS. They have a big heart for the Karen people. They want to help around in the villages and train new convicted Karen youths.

Three couples:
In the Himalayas in the northern part of India, several of our workers live and work among an unreached people group; the kumaonies. The People consists of about 3 millions, where 80% are high cast hindus. The people of these mountains are known to be strongly religious and they spend much time worshiping their gods.
There is a great variety in the work they do here. They arrange tracking in the Himalayas, were they are interceding for the local people group. They also facilitate work for women in a difficult situation, and give them a new dignity. They also teach high level english, cooking and culture. The goal is to start a movement for the Lord among the kumaonies, and to see hundreds of house churches planted in these villages. They want to plant churches that are relevant and take care of local traditions and culture, and again are able to plant other churches.
Dary and Ole Martin Mydland, and a family of five:
In the south east of Asia live and work several of our people. In the middle of Buddhism they have settled down and are bringing Gods kingdom. Many places have a great need for education, and people both in the villages and in the cities live in great poverty. Kids and youths living on the streets is a comon sight, and many of the countries don’t have a social support systems to take care of them. The poor who don’t get an education often ends up in a situation where they feel hopeless and loose faith in the future. We are working to get the kids out of the streets and giving them an opportunity of a better life. We also start schools in the districts where the youths don’t have to leave their homes and families to get an education in the cities. We have a focus on the families, and we arrange teaching for couples and families.
