The teaching
DTS is known for life changing teaching. It’s all about you knowing God. Knowing who He is. Knowing what His word says. Experiencing His presence. Hearing Him speak. Developing a relationship. Having courage to follow your faith. It’s about following Jesus in your daily life. Topics and teachers change a bit from year to year, but many of our teachers come back each year.
Teachers and topics from 2010:
Marianne Braseth: God’s character and our identity in Christ Marianne has a great gift in communicating and she inspires to live with God through the words she teaches and the life that she lives. What a great start on the DTS this is! To know who God is and who we are. This will guarantee to mark you for life.

Doug Easterday; The father heart of God and forgiveness Doug is a good friend of Skjærgårdsheimen and is a spiritual father for many. He shows us the father heart of God in a unique way through teaching and his personality. Forgiveness will have a new meaning. God’s healing will be experienced. Difficult relationships are being worked on.

Youth with a mission (UiO’s) 50th anniversary The year 2010 YWAM celebrated 50 years of God’s faithfulness. Loren and Darleen Cunningham (YWAM’s founders) took us on a unique journey through these years with listening to God and growing to become one of the world’s largest mission organization.
Sue Gauen: Prayer and intersession Sue has experienced how God leads her to pray for people, situations, and countries, and saw how prayer gives results. She shares very inspirationally with us from the word of God about our call to pray and she leads us in exciting prayer meetings.
Solfrid Quist Natvig: The Holy Spirit Solfrid is an anointed and powerful preacher. She travels around the world to teach, and in the midst of this, she takes time to visit Flekkerøy. She gives a healthy and biblical impression of the Holy Spirit. Many people have their first experience with the Holy Spirit through Solfrid’s ministry.

Vince Esterman: Evangelism Vince is the right man for this topic. He is Australian and has been working as a pastor in Paris for years. He was on the street every weekend, and many, many people have given their life to Jesus through his ministry. He focuses on the easy way of sharing the gospel and he gives practical advice.
Marianne og Ståle Braseth: Relationships Our wonderful base directors teach about healthy relationships, family systems, to be in a relationship, and communication. They share from their own life and from the word of God. Exciting days!
Team leaders take the outreach teams for a mini-outreach in Norway. The outreach teams visit a city or town in Norway for a short week. We bless churches with joining their ministry, do what we have learned, and prepare for outreach.
Francois Botes: Worship and the prophetic Worship is a big part of our Christian life, but why do we actually worship? Francois is an anointed preacher from South Africa with a prophetic gift. He takes us through the word of God to see the core in worship and all its expressions.

John from Norway: Mission All the way from Genesis to Revelation, God reveals his heart for the nations. His longing is that His name will be glorified in all people groups, nations, tribes, and tongues. You will get a real biblical foundation for missions together with specific advice on how to communicate the gospel in a new culture, and do missions with lasting fruit. John has much experience from working on the field.
Anna and Hobbes Wagner: The Word of God This is a young couple living in the states that teaches inspirationally and involves themselves with the students. They give useful information about the Bible, how it is written, and how we can study it in exciting ways. A useful tool when the DTS is over.
Tove Poulsen: Discipling the nations and Biblical worldview Tove encourages us to see God’s heart for all areas of society through the history in the Old Testament. The gospel is not only meant to influence the church, but also the government, families, education, economics, communication, science/technology, art and entertainment. Different and very good teaching!
Marianne Braseth: Calling and commitment God has a calling for each one of us. The last days of the lecture phase Marianne will challenge us to follow God’s calling no matter where and what it leads us to, and to commit to the King of Kings.
