”This is how I want to live my life”

I wanted to see the world, not with the eyes of a tourist, but witness, experience, and really see the culture from the inside. See God working in other people. That’s why I did a DTS. I wanted to see more of God.

And I was fed up. I was longing for something more. Yes, I was I believer. I did a lot of good stuff. But I wanted to live WITH and FOR God. Hear him speak to me. Have courrage to follow my faith. Understand the Bible, longing to read it. Have a relationship with God. Live for Him.

It was freedom in coming to a place where no one had a prejudiced picture of me. I grew a lot. People supported me. I got faith in myself. I got a lot of questions answered. A new foundation in life. Now I understand much more of the Bible. Who God is. Revelation is what it’s called, I guess.

God gave me courrage to follow my dreams. So now I live in Cambodia to make a difference even though I don’t dare. But God has shown me that I can do it. That I can use gifts and talents that He has given me because He wants to. He can take my five bread and two fish, then it will be enough for thousands. Amazing!

On outreach I learned to be more dependent on him. Experience that He is trustworthy. He came when I needed Him. Showed that He was in control when we didn’t know at all.

Challenged me to care less what other people think. Instead, just go for it!

 He can provide for me and expand my heart so that His power and love can flow through me. This is how I want to live my life. Every hour. Every day. All my life.
